The Nest thermostat might be getting a facelift

 

The Nest Learning Thermostat is now in its third generation, and aside from software updates, the device has largely retained its appearance since it was first introduced in 2011. That could be changing. According to gadget leak specialist Evan Blass, the device could be in for a whole new look. Blass tweeted an image of the device, which shows off a whole new look. It retains its circular shape, but comes with a white ring and screen. While you can purchase a Nest thermostat with a white, copper, black, or silver ring, this looks to be a complete redesign: the traditional glass display looks to be replaced by a plastic one.
